Knitted Blocks I Just Couldn’t Resist!
May 26th, 2014
It happens to us all from time to time, no matter how much knitting we already have and how much we need to catch up on, something comes along and we just cant help but give it a try! and someone pointed out to me…it does a massive queue jump!
A few days ago a project came up and I just had to pick up my needles & yarn and cast on straight away, this is just so perfect for so many reasons!
It uses up odd bits of left over yarn, it is fun, no sewing and the yarn goes in different directions, it is really clever!
Knitting for charity is something I enjoy, I have learned a lot of good techniques from the patters and knits and I have found out about so many different causes that need support, it is amazing just how much some needles and yarn can help!
The latest thing to get me excited is these squares, they are just so great, I am addicted to them! I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed something this much!
These are some of the causes these squares will help from the group I am donating mine to…
“Disabled children in the UK, adults and children in hostels including homeless and domestic abuse, care home and hospices and Big Hearts Square project.”
So far I have only made these two but I absolutely love doing them and when I can I will be making more 😀
one thing that I think is amazing is that it is such a fun and easy block but the patterns you can make with it are endless!
I am making these Log Cabin squares for Knitters and Natters Charity Matters
If you would like to make some for the projects you can send them to;Knitters and Natters Charity Matters, 1 North Halt, Keddington Road, Louth, Lincs. LN11 0AA
I hope you enjoy these as much as I am!
