It’s meant to be a cauldron!

October 14th, 2013

I made this today…

cauldron

I though it was obvious what it was so when I asked my son if he had seen what I made today I really didn’t think this was a hard question…

well his response was…a turnip! and when I said no it’s not what else do you think it might be? a little thought went in to this and he replied “aaaaaaaa…tuuurrrnnnnip” at this point I was in stitches (forgive the pun!) as I had never herd so many different ways of saying turnip! so I tried saying “what if the middle was green, it’s meant to be green”…you can guess the response I got!? “a green turnip!?”

oh great my 2y/o daughter has just picked it up and declared it is a carrot!

I think I will be  knitting up a witch to attend her cauldron tomorrow!

I guess I still have a long way to go till things look realistic!

It is made with two simple strips of garter stitch
